Al Hassan Group showcases latest projects at WETEX exhibition in Dubai (01 Apr 09)

Al Hassan Group of Companies showcased its latest projects at the Water, Energy Technology & Environment Exhibition 2009 (WETEX) at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre from 29-31 March 2009. This exhibition is organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), under the Patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and President of DEWA.

Al Hassan Group’s stands at WETEX received a high response from engineers, technicians, consultants, business people and representatives of specialized companies in water, energy and environment sectors where the Group's operations particularly in the UAE were showcased. Al Hassan Group Companies which participated in the WETEX 2009 include Al Hamas Trading Co. LLC, Al Hassan Switchgear Manufacturing Co. LLC and UAE Operations of Al Hassan Engineering Co. SAOG.

Al Hamas Trading which specializes in Engineering Products for Oil & Gas, Building & Construction, Power and Water sectors participated along with its Principals DSG Canusa (Germany), Aucom Electronics (New Zealand) and Ekarat Engineering (Thailand). Al Hassan Switchgear specializing in manufacturing of LV, MV Switchgear, Control & Relay Panels is by far the leader in Oman with 65% market share with exports to UAE accounting for 30% of its production. In fact, Al Hassan Switchgear is coming up with a new facility at Buraimi near Oman-UAE border to meet the growing demand of its UAE based customers. Al Hassan Engg. Co. SAOG which has recently won its maiden order for Civil Works for a DEWA 400/132 kV Sub-station from Siemens showcased its strengths in the Power Generation, Power Transmission and Distribution Sectors.

Commenting on Al Hassan’s participation in WETEX, Mr Maqbool Ali Salman, Managing Director, Al Hassan Group of Companies, said, “This is in line with our strategy of regional expansion into UAE”.
