Press ReleasesAl Hassan Group Trading Cos. – AHE & Hi-Tech celebrate Annual Staff Function (7 March 2011) Besides Al Hassan's Chairman, Mr Hassan bin Ali Salman, MD, Mr Maqbool Ali Salman, many senior figures of the executive management including Eng. Talal Al Assaad, CEO-Manufacturing & Trading, Mr. Peter Hall, CEO - AHEC and the GM-Trading SBU (Oman), Mr Abbas Jamal graced the occasion. During the function which was attended by both the Trading SBU (Oman) companies, AHE & Hi-Tech, a number of Omani and expatriate employees were felicitated with long service awards. Employees who have served the Group for more than 10/15/30 years of service were recognized for their loyalty and commitment to the Group. Al Hassan Group gives paramount importance to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) so as to keep our employees and workplace safe as well as to strive to achieve world class standards in HSE. In 2010, Trading (Oman) Companies drove 1.3 million km without any LTI. One of the key reasons for this spectacular achievement has been the safe driving practised by the drivers. In order to motivate the drivers further, the best drivers were recognized for their strict adherence to the HSE and Road Safety requirements.
Eng. Talal Al Assaad thanked the GMs of all Support Services Functions for their ongoing support and commitment. He also outlined the need for team based working, smart thinking and to have immense confidence in self and in the Group. He reiterated that the Group had plenty of plans for expansion and assured of Management’s full support in terms of investment in both financial as well as human resources. He announced the names of the top 10 outstanding performers, in spite of excellent performance of Trading SBU (Oman) in general. Mr. Hassan bin Ali Salman stated his appreciation of the good work done by all in achievements of 2010. He shared the humble origins of the Group as a retail supplier of light bulbs as it wanted to spread "NOOR", (light) throughout the Sultanate. He expressed pride in Al Hassan Group being a large "NOOR" organization today and thanked all the staff for their sincere efforts and commitment towards growth. The staff expressed their delight for this joyful annual party during which they get to interact and meet face to face with the senior management. The employees appreciated Corporate Management’s efforts to enhance the sense of belongingness to the organization. The celebration ended with the distribution of bonuses to all the Trading SBU (Oman) employees and the much anticipated raffle draw. |


The annual function for all staff members of Al Hassan Electricals Co. LLC (AHE) and Hi-Tech Services and Supplies (Hi-Tech), members of Trading SBU (Oman) of Al Hassan Group was held on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Crystal Suites, Wadi Kabir.
Mr. Abbas Jamal expressed gratitude to all the employees for their active contribution to the achievements in 2010. Mr. Jamal praised all the departments – Commercial, Marketing, PR and Sales for their excellent efforts. He requested the continued support from all and underlined the need for ongoing effective communication as a winning team and focused sales and marketing approach to meet the goals for 2011. He hoped that the team would continue the winning habit and break its own record for 2011.
Mr. Maqbool Ali Salman exhorted all the employees to continue their hard work and put more efforts in maintaining the leadership position which Al Hassan enjoys today in the Sultanate. He emphasized the need for employees to create goodwill by looking at "Lifetime value" of customer rather than a particular transaction. He elucidated this by several interesting examples on relationship building. He felt proud that many of the employees who had joined organization in its early formative years had risen through the ranks and were among the top 10 performers of 2010. He also emphasized that in both the businesses of Hi-Tech as well as AHE whether Retail/Wholesale, Project Sales, Lighting, there was an immense room for growth. He expressed pride in the fact that Al Hassan is a growth oriented organization and all the employees had an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth story. He motivated the employees to have a burning desire to achieve more not only in business but also contribute to society. He emphasized the need for self discipline and monitoring.
