The annual regional event is organised by the Pan Arab Web Awards Academy in association with the Arab Administrative Development Organisation (ARADO), AYNA, Microsoft and Business Software Alliance (BSA). The awards aim to raise the standards of web design and website functionality throughout the region whilst promoting the spirit of innovation and creativity. Winners of the annual competition are selected by a jury of industry professionals who vote according to guidelines that follow international best practice. Points are awarded across five key areas including concepts and creativity, technical and usability, content and information architecture, visual design and interactivity.
He highlighted, "With its contemporary design, friendly navigation, dynamic functions and informative content, the Al Hassan website has proven to be an effective medium for the Group to reach out to all its stakeholders. The website is a one-stop destination for current and relevant information about all Al Hassan SBUs. It is also linked to our on-line recruitment processes. The website has been revamped to appeal to a global audience of existing and potential business partners, job seekers, customers, media, shareholders and investors. The Group's competitive advantages – market leadership, product depth and broad services spectrum are clearly presented through informative content and skillful design."  |
Al Hassan Group gained further prominence when it bagged two top prizes in the recently held Pan Arab Web Awards. The leading business group added another feather to its cap when it won the Best Corporate Website, outshining a large number of corporate websites in a tough competition. It also won a Strategic Portal award in the Health, Safety and Environment Category. In both the categories, Al Hassan was the only Omani company to win the awards.
