Al Hassan Group appoints CEO for Manufacturing & Trading SBUs (14 Sep 2008)
Al Hassan Group of Companies which has, under its umbrella, distinct Strategic Business Units (SBUs) of Contracting, Manufacturing and Trading, has announced the appointment of Engr. Talal Al-Assaad, as Chief Executive Officer, in-charge of Manufacturing & Trading SBUs.
Engr. Talal, an Electrical Engineer, has over three decades of vivid, enriching, eventful and rewarding experience, holding senior level positions with leading multinationals including Sony Corporation, Sumitomo Corporation, NEC Corporation, HP etc. Engr. Talal who holds Canadian citizenship, is fluent in Arabic, French and English.
The Manufacturing SBU manufactures Medium Voltage & Low Voltage Switchgears and Control and Relay Panels. It is by far the leader in its field with 65% market share in Oman with 60% of its production getting exported to Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) countries.
The Trading SBU has over three decades of experience in representing and marketing Electrical equipment, lighting products, energy management systems, transmission and distribution equipment, building construction, oil & gas, petrochemicals and water related products and services from world leaders in both Oman and UAE.
Engr. Talal will also be in-charge of overseas Trading operations in the UAE including Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Engr. Talal is all poised to give a fillip to the manufacturing and trading ambitions and aspirations of the Al Hassan Group, benefiting from his sound networking in GCC region in particular, thereby paving the way for augmenting the present business areas as well as diversifying into other businesses.
