Al Hassan Switchgear Quality Management System has been accredited to ISO 9000 series since June 2001 onwards and after completion of its every three years validity period from then on, Al Hassan Switchgear underwent recertification to the relevant prevalent ISO 9000 system versions and sustained ISO certification continuously. In Jan. 2010, AHSG’s Quality Management System was audited in accordance with the revised series of ISO 9001:2008 and is now certified to the latest series. Eng. Talal Al Assaad, CEO-Mfg. & Trading, Al Hassan Group commented, "We are extremely pleased to have received this certification which covers the design, estimation, production, QA/QC, sales, installation, testing, commissioning and servicing of Low voltage and medium voltage switchgear and Control & Relay panels. We are delighted that we passed this quality audit on our very first attempt." The most demanding of the worldwide ISO quality standards, the ISO 9001 certification requires a company to demonstrate clearly defined and documented policies and procedures for preventative and corrective measurements and actions throughout its organization. The registrar performing the audit was TÜV SÜD. "The ISO certification reflects the quality of our processes, our products, and our personnel," added Eng. Talal. "Quality is the job of every employee here at Al Hassan, and not just the quality department. Our goal is to continually improve the variable factors that can have an impact on quality in every step and process of our company." The accreditation was formally presented to Eng. Talal Al Assaad in the presence of AHSG staff at a ceremony held at the company premises recently. He added: "By receiving the ISO 9001:2008 certification, Al Hassan has attained a new milestone in quality management. This reinforces Al Hassan’s leadership position in the Switchgear market and strengthens an already high-level of customer orientation." The ISO 9001:2008 certification further cements the reputation of quality of Al Hassan Switchgear products which already boasts of KEMA KEUR and type tests from internationally renowned testing laboratories including ASTA (UK), KEMA (Netherlands) and CPRI (India). Al Hassan Switchgear, a member of "Al Hassan Group of Companies", was established in 1992 and is the largest manufacturer of switchgear assemblies such as intelligent motor control centres and power control centres, distribution boards, feeder pillars and control & relay panels in the Sultanate of Oman and exports a large part of its production to AGCC.  |
Al Hassan Switchgear Manufacturing Co. LLC (AHSG) announced today that it has been recently certified for its Quality Management System of its Muscat Facility to the latest version of ISO 9001:2008.
