AHEC added another feather to its cap with the achievement of 5-million man-hours without LTI and 1000 safe working days for the Seeb Water Re-Use project currently being developed by Haya Water. To commemorate these twin superb HSE milestones achieved by the Seeb project team, on 15th June, AHEC organized a function at Golden Tulip Hotel to congratulate the Seeb Project team, the client - Haya Water, the EPC contractor - Hyundai Rotem and the consultant - Parsons. The function in addition to senior management of AHEC was graced by Mr. Omar Al Wahaibi, CEO - Haya Water, Mr. Abdullah Al Hashmi, GM - Haya Water, Mr. David Mitchell, Operations Manager - Parsons International and Mr. H J Im, Director- Hyundai Rotem JV. Mr. Z.H. Farooqui, Head-Civil & Water, AHEC welcomed all the attendees and thanked the Management of all parties involved in Seeb STP Project for sparing their precious time to mark this achievement and for encouraging the project team.
Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Hassan bin Ali Salman, said: "At AHEC, our work force is our greatest asset and we invest time in training, and money in safety, to care for our team. Safety awareness is a top priority and measures are in place to ensure our team is looked after. It is important that we look after our hard-working team and continue to deliver the excellent results that our clients have come to expect from us." Mr. Peter Hall, CEO - AHEC congratulated Haya Water, Parsons, Hyundai Rotem JV & Seeb Project team on this enormous achievement. Mr. Hall emphasized that AHEC is investing a lot of time for implementing the best HSE standards of the industry for all its projects and it was really encouraging when these efforts bore fruit. Mr. Hall thanked Haya Water, Parsons & Hyundai Rotem JV for their unremitting support in achieving this milestone and assured AHEC’s full support for the successful and safe completion of this prestigious project. Mr. Hall added that celebrating such achievements reminds us of the hardships and efforts made towards achieving these milestones and encourages the team to perform with the same zeal for achieving further.  |

Later, Mr. Wahaibi also presented Haya Water’s Safety Excellence Award to Mr. Hassan bin Ali Salman, Chairman - AHEC.
