2 x 126 MW Amal Power Station

Customer: Petroleum Development Oman
Location: Amal, South Oman
Project Duration: 2009-11

Project Synopsis:Amal Power Plant is modular construction with the installed capacity of 252 MW. The power plant is designed with a unitized concept to ensure any equipment failures associated with one train does not cause any adverse effect on the other train. Further the Power Plant is designed for unmanned operation and under the normal operation will be remotely controlled by SCADA and remotely monitored from Master Control Room.

Project Scope: EPC execution of complete Power plant (Gas Turbines as free issue) and associated facilities comprising of DM and Service Water System, Emergency Diesel Generator, Unit Electrical Buildings, Gas Treatment Plant Control Buildings, 100 km of 132 kV OHL using ELM and Oryx conductors, HVAC System, Internal & External Communication system, Fire detection & Alarm System, 142 MVA and Auxiliary transformers, Instrument Air System, DC & AC UPS system. The Scope also includes the pre-commissioning and commissioning of Power Plant.

2 x 25 MW Heat Recovery Steam Generators

Customer: Occidental Oman/Gulf Steam Generators
Location: Mukhaizana, South Oman
Project Duration: 2008-09

Project Synopsis: To meet steam requirements for steam injection plant for Enhanced Oil Recovery

Project Scope: Assembly and Erection of 2 nos. Once Through Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) at Mukhaizna. This is horizontal Once Through type HRSG, producing wet steam and forms an integral part of the existing Power Plant.

Achievement: This is a first-of-a-kind facility established for steam injection projects in the region.

1000 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant

Customer: Sohar Aluminium Company, Oman / Alstom, France
Location: Sohar Industrial Area, Oman
Project Duration: 2006-09

Project Synopsis: Captive power plant to meet the power demand for the first ever Aluminum smelter in Oman owned by Sohar Aluminum Company. This power plant is the largest ever greenfield power project in Oman as on date.

Project Scope: Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation installation works for Combined Cycle Power Plant consisting of 4 X 165 MW Gas Turbines, 4 Nos. Heat Recovery Steam Generators, 2 X 250 MW Steam Turbines and Balance of Plant facilities.

1 X 120 MW Open Cycle Power Plant (Qarn Alam -2)

Location: Qarn Alam, North Oman
Project Duration: 2005-08

Project Synopsis: Captive Power Plant to meet the increased demand of electric power in the region.

Project Synopsis: Captive Power Plant to meet the increased demand of electric power in the region. This is the largest and one of the most sophisticated power plants in the entire PDO infrastructure.
