Project Synopsis: A world class green field petrochemical plant, planned to utilize the product from Sohar Refinery to produce over 1 million tones of para-xylene and benzene per year. This is the FIRST Aromatic production complex and a milestone in the strategic development of Sultanate of Oman.

AHEC’s Scope of Work: Structural, Mechanical and Piping works for Utility Area. Civil Works for Utility and Tankage Area. Painting for the process and off site and utilities section.

Polypropylene Project

Customer: Oman Polypropylene LLC / GS E & C, Korea
Location: Sohar Industrial Area
Year of Award: 2005

Project Synopsis:First ever petrochemical plant in Sultanate of Oman, is owned by Oman Polypropylene LLC, and will producing 340, 000 meteric tones of international grade polypropylene per year. Feedstock propylene is from adjacent.

AHEC’s Scope of Work: Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Instrumentation works for the process plant.

PTTEP Shams Gas and Condensate Development Project

Customer: PTTEP, Thailand/ Hanover, U.S.A.
Location: Shams Gas Field – Block 44 Ibri, Oman
Year of Award: 2005

Project Synopsis:Shams Gas and Condensate Development Project is owned by the PTT Exploration and Production Co, Oman, which has concession area in at Shams Gas- Field Block 44. As per the per the Gas Sales Agreement between Ministry of Gas and PTTEP Oman, this project has started delivering Sweet Natural gas and Condensate from mid of 2006.

AHEC's Scope of Work:Complete CEI and SMP works for Shams Central Processing Plant of capacity 20,000 bpd of condensate and 100 SCF sweet natural gas per day. Engineering Procurement and Construction of 37km of 12" gas pipeline, 97.5km of condensate export pipeline and 15.4 km of pipeline.

Saih Nihayda Gas Treatment Plant.

Customer: Petroleum Development Oman
JV Partner: SNC Lavalin Inc - Canada
Location: Saih Nihayda, Oman
Year of Award: 2002

Project Synopsis: Executed for Petroleum Development Oman by the Joint Venture of SNC – Lavalin Inc, Canada and Al-Hassan, the plant is designed to treat 20million cubic metre of Natural Gas and 10,000 cubic meter of Condensate per day. This project won the best project award in 2005 by PDO. Also adjudged as the Oman’s best project by “Dubai Construction Week” Magazine in 2005
